2. I regret that I have been unable to identify additional temporary help for HKD for the period 29 November-9 December. I hope the Department has been able to get by with 3 Section Clerks.

As you know, Gerry McCann is due to start floater training soon. Mr McCann has several outstanding days leave which he should take before starting on training courses.
4. I have been told that Chris Tunnicliffe (DS10) is available wef 6 December until he starts training for his posting to Doha (this should not be until sometime in the New Year his training programme has yet to be drawn up). Subject to your agreement, I propose that Mr Tunnicliffe starts in HKD on 6 December, and that Mr McCann is released to take some leave wef 13 December. Please let me know if this proposal is unacceptable.
5.
1x DS10 HKD slot will appear on the next No.8 Pre-Board agenda. The Pre-Board is due to meet on 5 January.
