INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANISATION (ILO): ARTICLE 22 REPORTS COMMENTS BY THE COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS
1. I should be grateful if you would forward to Hong Kong the attached text of the ILO Committee of Experts' comments (in the form of Observations and Direct Requests) on Conventions on which Hong Kong is reporting under Article 22 of the ILO Constitution.
2. The ILO have sent these observations/direct requests to us now so as to keep governments informed at an early stage of the Experts' comments, and also to allow governments to give early consideration to any measures which they may need to take in the light of these comments.
3.
Since these texts are currently for information, there is no requirement for immediate responses. But a number of the Conventions may be due for reports in 1994. It would be useful therefore if such reports could be sent to us by 31 March 1994. If this can be done, it will be easier for the Department of Employment to check the reports and, if necessary, seek further information before the ILO make a formal request in June for responses.
for fu___.
