For this year's Conference, the following committees were set up :-
(i)
Finance Committee;
(ii)
Committee on Application of Standards;
(iii) Committee on Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents;
(iv) Committee on Part-time Work;
(v)
Committee on Technical Co-operation;
(vi)
Committee on Apartheid; and
(vii)
Resolutions Committee.

With the exception of the Finance Committee, which was made up of one government representative of each member state represented at Conference, all the other committees were tripartite in composition.

The Hong Kong team attended the plenary sittings and meetings of the Committees on Application of Standards, Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents, Part-time Work and Technical Co-operation.

The theme of the Director-General's report is social insurance and social protection. The discussion at the plenary sittings centred around this subject.
