Report on Hong Kong's Participation
in the 80th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, June 1993

The 80th Session of the International Labour Conference was held in Geneva from 2 to 23 June 1993. Hong Kong participated in the Conference in the capacity as advisers to the United Kingdom Delegation.

This was the eighth year in which a tripartite team from Hong Kong attended the Conference.

The Conference
from governments, employers' and workers' organisations from 165 member states. Abdel-Hak Saleh, Minister of Manpower and Training of Egypt and government delegate, was unanimously elected president of the Conference. Mr Ashraf Tabani, Mr George Badey, government delegate of Belarus, employer delegate of Pakistan and Mr Bustos Huerta, workers delegate of Chile, were unanimously elected vice-presidents.
