a lot of community interest in the status of women in Hong Kong and there are strong expectations from the public for Hong Kong to participate actively in the Jakarta Conference. Nevertheless, I would like to seek your advice on whether there are any objections to Hong Kong participating in the Jakarta Conference and submitting our own report on the implementation of NFLS, bearing in mind that we could only participate in the Peking Conference on NFLS as part of the UK delegation and submit a report on the subject through the UK.
