The Secretary of State has agreed to give interviews to Nippon Television (NTV) and the Kyodo News Service (Kyodo) (my minute of 9 March refers) on Thursday 1 March (1800-1845).

Their questions will cover the programme for the Secretary of State's visit and Anglo-Japanese relations in general. would also like to cover G7 and aid to Russia. like to cover also the changing role of the UN, permanent membership of the Security Council, the ERM and ratification of the Maastricht Treaty.
