SECRETARY OF STATE'S INTERVIEWS WITH JAPANESE MEDIA

The Secretary of State has agreed to give interviews to Nippon Television (NTV) and the Kyodo News Service (Kyodo) (my minute of 9 March refers) on Thursday 1 March (1800-1845).

2. NTV will interview the Secretary of State for 15 minutes. Their questions will cover the programme for the Secretary of State's visit and Anglo-Japanese relations in general. would also like to cover G7 and aid to Russia. like to cover also the changing role of the UN, permanent membership of the Security Council, the ERM and ratification of the Maastricht Treaty.

I should be grateful if you and the other recipients of this minute could provide bull points as appropriate. Could you let us have a complete set in time to submit the briefing to the Secretary of State by close of play on Tuesday 30 March?
