How long will the Governor be in hospital/away from work?
Up to four days in hospital. convalescing at home.
Around a week to ten days
Where will the Governor recuperate?
Government House and/or Fanling Lodge.
Will Mrs. Patten be with him during the treatment?
Yes
Will Alice still go to school?
Yes
Will Laura and Kate fly out?
No plans to but obviously they are in close touch with their parents.
Do the children know?
Yes, of course. Kate and Laura have spoken to their parents on the telephone.
Political
Doesn't this place a question mark over the Governor's future?
NO.
Mr. Patten intends to return to work as soon as he can; probably within a week to ten days.
