DEFINITIONS

Paragraph 1

For the purposes of this Cooperative Arrangement :

"Participant" means, for the United Kingdon, Her Majesty's Customs and Disc ona,

(a)

Customs and Excise Department;

(b)

the

administrative

"Customs laws" means all the legal and provisions enforceable by The Participants including

(c)

(i)

the

collection, guaranteeing or repayment Of

duties, taxes and other charges;

(ii)

measures of prohibition, restriction or control;

to

(iii) action in relation

Floga! trafficking im MarcoLAO drugs and psychotropic substances;

(iv) action in relation to illicit manufacture and distribution of counterfait goods and pirated worka:

the

term "contravention" means any violation or altempted violation of customs laws.
