BUSINESS CONFERENCE: HONG KONG WORKS, 10 NOVEMBER

1.

The Minister has seen your submission of 14 September. Mr Yaxley has also spoken direct to Mr Goodlad and asked him whether he might stand in for the Prime Minister if the latter should for any reason be unable to attend the "Hong Kong Works" business conference.

2. The Minister has said that he will certainly stand ready to replace the Prime Minister if the latter drops out (and has spoken to Mr Yaxley in that sense). He will also attend the lunch. But he will decide nearer the time whether to attend the whole morning session.
