There are agreed procedures for requesting the reimposition of duty on products which would otherwise be entitled to enter the European Community free of duty under the Generalised System of Preferences Scheme. The operation of the scheme is due for review this year and the concerns of UK bicycle manufacturers will be considered during discussion in the
European Community.
