1. We spoke earlier today. I would be grateful if you could arrange to issue passes for the Governor of Hong Kong

and his party of officials at 1445 on Wednesday 30 June. Mr Patten will be accompanied by the following officials:

Mr Mike Hanson

Mr Michael Sze

- Mr Edward Llewellyn

Mr Hanson and Mr Llewellyn were here in April and should be on your computer records. The Governor may choose, as he did in April, not to carry a pass. However it would be helpful to have arrangements for taking his photo in place just in case.

3. I would be grateful to know if 15 minutes is long enough to issue the passes as the party have a meeting to go to at 1500.
