Law to suit their own needs and he believed this
would happen in Hong Kong after 1997. Some work
was being done in this area.
DECISION
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED
that
-
(a) where
desirable
and
practicable,
Hong Kong's informal links with the
Commonwealth which can survive the
change of sovereignty, should be
maintained; and
(b)
the proposals for dealing with existing
links with the Commonwealth as set out
in paragraph 7 of the memorandum should
be adopted.
