Insurance

As stated in CPA Form A2. It was requested that Members notify the UK Branch if they wish to extend their CPA insurance outside the period of the official visit.

Gifts and CPA ties

When the visit programme is known, Andrew Pearson will propose a selection of gifts for the approval of the delegation

leader. Each delegate may be asked to carry a share of these.

Expenses

The Branch will pay each Member an allowance of £12.50 per day to defray such expenses as local entertaining. The cost of gifts presented will be shared equally and deducted from CPA allowances on return.

Leader's report

The delegation leader and the delegation secretary will produce a report for inclusion in the Branch Annual Report.

Report-back meeting

To be arranged after Parliament resumes in the autumn.

Health

The Civil Service Occupational Health Service, 3 Murray House, Vandon Street, SW1 (071 273 6331) recommends immunisation against typhoid, tetanus, polio and hepatitis 'A'.

Currency

Delegates should take travellers cheques in US dollars.

Travel to and from London airports

It was agreed that Members would meet in Club World in Heathrow Terminal 4 on the day of departure. Members travelling by Club Class (baggage allowance 30 kgs) should check in not less than one hour before departure, and Members travelling by Economy Class (baggage allowance 20 kgs) should check in not less than two hours before departure. No smoking seats have already been allocated to delegates and the seat numbers will be printed on individual tickets. Mr Terry Dicks agreed to speak to the airport officials to see if they can help in any way prior to departure and Andrew Pearson will write formally to this effect. The UK Branch will reimburse Members for travel to and from Heathrow by underground or taxi.

Climate

While it will be hot and humid in Hong Kong it cannot be certain what the weather will be in New Zealand until the visit programme is received showing the areas to be visited, but it will be late winter.

Other business

Special interests were noted by Andrew Pearson and will be relayed to the Hong Kong Government and the New Zealand Branch.
