Nature of Link
Government surveyors participate in Conference of Commonwealth Surveyors held at 4-yearly intervals.
DUS acts as the
contractual agent of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) for management of Commonwealth War Graves.

Recreation and Culture Branch
(a)
Affiliation of seven individual governing bodies of sports with their corresponding Commonwealth sports associations. Some participated in sports competitions organised by the latter on an irregular basis. Hong Kong also participates in Commonwealth Games (the next one to be held in 1994).
Remarks
HKG's attendance can be replaced by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors after 1997.
Representatives from non-Commonwealth countries (e.g. U.S.A., Ethiopia and Oman) have also attended the Conference.
DUS will continue to serve as CWGC's agent after 1997. Amendments to Cap. 132 will be required to clarify the respective contractual roles of DUS and CWGC.
