Non-acceptance of office by members

Section 11 is amended -

(a) in subsection (1), by repealing "appointed or";

(b)

in subsection (2)

(i) by repealing "a member" and substituting "an

elected member";

(ii) by repealing "reappointed or".

Resignation of a member

Section 12 (1) is amended by repealing "or a member appointed

under section 6 (1) (c)".

Section 13 is repealed.

Publication of notice of vacancy

Section 14 is amended -

(a) in subsection (1)

(i)

by repealing "When a member" and

substituting "When an elected member";

(ii)

by repealing paragraphs (a) and (b) and

substituting

" (a) becomes disqualified by reason of

(b)

section 19 of the Electoral

Provisions Ordinance (Cap. 367);

ceases to hold office by reason of

section 42 (1) of the Electoral

Provisions Ordinance (Cap. 367) ; " ;
