"(g) subject to subsection (4A), fails

throughout a period of 6

consecutive months to attend any

meeting of the Board unless the

failure was due to some reason

approved by the Board prior to the

commencement of that period.";

"(4A) When an ex officio member fails

throughout a period of 6 consecutive months to

attend any meeting of the Board by reason of the

prolonged illness of that member the Board may

subsequently excuse the failure if that member

seeks the approval of the Board within one month

of his having recovered or substantially

recovered from that illness.

(4B) The period referred to in subsections

(4)(g) and (4A) shall commence on the day next

following the date of the meeting of a Board at

which the ex officio member is first absent.".

Disqualification of Chairman of

Rural Committee

Section 9A is repealed.
