FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE VISIT TO CHINA - ITINERARY

(NB. In advance of the main party arriving in Hong Kong en route to Peking, two Members and the staff of the Committee will arrive in Hong Kong earlier:-

Mr Sumberg: On 4 October for private visit.

Sir John Stanley: On Monday 11 October for private visit.

Helen Irwin and Rosie Challis: On Sunday 10 October to meet Hong Kong Government officials and to confirm arrangements for the Committee's meetings there).

They will meet the main party at the airport to connect with the flight to Peking.

Monday 11 October

London to Peking via Hong Kong:

Arrive Peking at 15.00(flight CA102) on Tuesday 12 October

NB. (Mr Jopling will arrive later at 22.00(flight CA108).

Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th in Peking

Thursday 14 October

Split into two groups:

Group 1

Peking to Shanghai

Arrive Shanghai at 19.00(flight CA1521)

Group 2

Peking to Guangzhou

Arrive Guangzhou at 21.40(flight CZ3110)

Friday 15th and Saturday 16th in Shanghai/Guangzhou

Saturday 16 October

Group 1

Shanghai to Hong Kong

Arrive Hong Kong at 21.10(flight KA301)

Group 2

Guangzhou to Hong Kong

Arrive Hong Kong at 19.00(flight CZ305) or train

Sunday 17th - Tuesday 19th in Hong Kong
