On the two points outside the penultimate chapter, I think I explained this morning why the word 'briefly' in the Preface has to go. On the airport chapter, I shall keep a reference to negotiations on page 339, though this had probably better be a reference to 'possible negotiations'.

This still leaves a gap between us, I'm afraid. But I have done my best; and without doing violence to my views, I cannot go further. I do not expect you to like the text; and it remains critical of the government. But, as you have explained it, that is not the issue.
