1. Thank you for your letter of 15 December. I looked with interest at the report of the Australian DLO on the drugs situation in Hong Kong; and on the emerging significance of South China. I shall be interested to learn what the Chinese have to say at the next ADLOMICO conference.
2. You asked if we had anything on which you might draw when presenting a country paper at the next ADLOMICO.
I enclose a copy of the paper presented by the UK at the last meeting of Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (HONLEA), Asia and the Pacific, held in Bangkok from 23-27 November. Both we and NCIS are content for you to draw on it as you see fit, although we would ask that you and ADLOMICO partners treat it as "for official use by law enforcement agencies". It is not for public consumption.
