I note from your letter of 8 July that you have referred to the Judicial Officers (Tenure of Office) Ordinance, rather than the Judicial Officers (Tenure of Office) Bill. Does this mean that the Bill has now become law and, if so, could you let me know on what date it came into force?

Our Legal Counsellor is still studying the required amendments to the Colonial Regulations and we will let you have our comments on these as soon as possible.
