PAUL FIFOOT

THE SCHEDULE

0372723758

P.03/03

Part 1, Paragraph 2: is now and is designed to give effect to A

M's oral instructions to exclude RPI in calculating notional

pension when the calculation is made during the period between an

officer's retirement before the age of 55 and his attainment of

that age, but not once he has attained that age.

I have also added in square brackets an exclusion of the periods

under the 1971 Act from these calculations see Head C of this schedule. But is it necessary ? It would only apply if an officer had retired at the age of 36 or younger !

Parts II and III: Headings amended to refer to "specified officers" and in Heads A, B, C and D to deferred pension. But no payment will be made under the Scheme in respect of a deferred pension until it is in payment; see paragraph 6(a) of the main part.

Parts II and 111: "21" inserted to replace "YY"

Head C: "or after" added in heading and original Head D deleted. Subsequent Heads re-lettered.

New Head D: cross reference to Head A retained,

New Head E: would a dependent of a non-pensionable officer ( and not himself a specified officer) be entitled to a pension under the new Pensions legislation ? If so, should we make provision for her or him ?

New Head G: conversion date now is date of retirement.
