The Schedule

Part I: New definition of "relevant Social Security Pensions Order" added. This will shorten the references in the remaining parts of the Schedule.

Part II C: Amended as in Part II C(c) of my fax of 19th July and to take into account the definition of the Order.

I still have a slight worry about the phrase "such date as would have been used if the officer had been entitled to such a pension supplement". I think it means the first date on which a supplement was payable (to anyone) under the Act or regulations after the officer-was awarded his pension even though he was not eligible at that time (or any other time) for such a supplement. Is this what you want it to mean ?

Part II D: When applying Head C, with the specific variation, in the circumstances of Head D, Head C(c)(i) will be disregarded as there is no "period to which section 1 or section 2 of the Act applies" as regards an officer who

retires after the commencement of the Scheme

Note also that I have opted for one of the

alternatives in the last line.

Part II E: It is agreed that Head A applies whether the officer retired before or after the commencement of the Scheme.
