COMMAND AND CONTROL
The operation is to be mounted through a Joint
HQ established as directed by CDS.
70. Operational Command and Control. On arrival, all reinforcements will come under the operational command of CBF Hong Kong, who will delegate operational control as necessary. Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Strike Command will retain operational command of transport aircraft used for the deployment of reinforcements to Hong Kong but may, at his discretion, exercise operational control through an Air Transport Detachment Commander.
71. Briefing. Single-Service Commanders are responsible for ensuring that, prior to deployment, all personnel are briefed on the situation and their unit or individual tasks.
