The Brigade of Gurkhas infrastructure should be withdrawn to

the UK between October 1994 and April 1995 (paragraphs 16 and

17).

g.

Command and control of BGN should be transferred to HQ UKLF

1 April 1995 (paragraphs 18 and 19).

h.

The RAF Wessex support helicopter force should be retained

at an operational strength of 6 AE plus 2 IUR until 1997, with

its operational tasks in support of the remainder of the Garrison

being assumed, if necessary, by the helicopter force embarked

with the NTF on its arrival in theatre (paragraphs 21 and 39c).

i. The AAC Scout helicopter force should be reduced to 4 AE

plus 1 IUR during FY 93/94; and should then remain operational at

that strength until 1997, with its operational tasks in support

of the remainder of the Garrison being assumed if necessary by

the helicopter force embarked with the NTF on its arrival in

theatre (paragraphs 22 and 39c).

j. Arrangements should be made for the support of the Scout

flight in Brunei from March 1994; to include according it

independent flight status (paragraph 22).
