WITHDRAWAL OF THE BRIGADE OF GURKHAS INFRASTRUCTURE

16. The 1991 Review outlined the requirement for the Brigade of

Gurkhas infrastructure to relocate to UK at about the time of the

withdrawal of the second Gurkha battalion. For budgetary reasons, the

move of this infrastructure is to be completed within financial year

1994/1995. This subject was addressed in a HQBF paper1o in September

1992.

17. HQ Brigade of Gurkhas (HQBG), Brigade of Gurkhas Manning and

Record Office (BGMRO), Regimental Pay Office Brigade of Gurkhas (RPO

BG), Training Depot Brigade of Gurkhas (TDBG) and 28 Army Education

Centre (28 AEC) will relocate to UK during FY 94/95. This outline plan

has been approved by the Army Department11.
