Government Emergency Communications

21.

Government Departments would continue to use their normal channels of communication during an emergency unless this became impracticable.

22.

GSECC has a back-up radio-telephone network which links the Government Secretariat to the departments. This network would not normally be used unless the telephone system failed. In addition, the following Government departments have a variety of radio-telephone and other communications networks which might be useful during an emergency :

Correctional Services Department

Customs and Excise Department
