During a civil disturbance which threatens Hong Kong's internal security the Architectural Services Department will ensure that essential repairs are carried out to Government buildings and other installations.

The department would maintain as far as possible, normal office routine.

Emergencies reported during office hours would be dealt with by the staff in the normal manner. Outside office hours the Property Services Branch's duty officer scheme would enable essential repairs to be carried out.
