In the event of a curfew, warrants will be issued to essential staff. AMS personnel in uniform and in possession of an AMS identity card will not require warrants while on duty or proceeding to or from duty. With respect to DH and HA staff, the Director of Health and the Director of Operations, would be given a supply of warrants by Security Branch/GSECC when an emergency appeared imminent. Warrants would have to be issued to the majority of staff in the major acute hospitals concerned.

HA

Similar arrangements would have to be made for other HA hospitals as appropriate. Private practitioners who required curfew warrants in order to look after their patients would be advised to apply to their nearest Police station or to listen to the radio for announcements concerning temporary warrant issuing centres.
