then General Duties Branch, Mr Hoare served as Private Secretary,
Government House during 1986 to 1989 and again from 1990 to 1992.
(He was Deputy Head of the Central Policy Unit between these two
periods.) Mr Hoare is currently attending a training course at
the Royal College of Defence Studies.
Mr Peter Lo, JP (aged 17)
Mr Peter Lo first joined the civil service in 1967 and
rose to his present rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade Bl
in 1991. In his early years, he served mainly in the then Trade,
Industry and Customs Department and later the Trade Department.
Mr Lo was in Economic Services Branch from 1982 to 1984.
posted to the Hong Kong Economic and Trade office in Washington
in 1984 as Counsellor and took up his current appointment
Minister in 1987.
