Achievement of Targets

Branch Secretaries
and Secretary for Works will work closely to ensure that targets for completing projects in their respective programme areas are met. Existing and future projects should be examined to ensure that adequate lead time is allowed for land acquisition, other statutory procedures and compliance with environmental requirements.

While Branch Secretaries have authority to alter priorities within their programmes, such changes should not, other than in exceptional circumstances, be made once detailed design or land acquisition or other statutory procedures have started. PWPC should be informed of significant changes which are proposed to be made to Branch. Secretaries' programme priorities.
