TRANSFER OF UK RELATED RECORDS FROM HONG KONG

1.

Thank you for sending us a copy of Mr Tong's letter of 31 October.

2.

We would not require any of the records relating to entry clearance (paras 2(b) and 2(c) to be transferred to the United Kingdom.

3.

The following should be transferred to the future British Consulate-General when it begins a visa operation:-

A

Visa application forms for visit and student visas which are 2 years old or less

B

Applications for settlement and refusal papers both for the UK and other territories which are 10 years old or less.

Certificate of entitlement which are 12 years old or less.

C

NB Where files contain both certificate of entitlement and settlement/refusal cases the 12 year rule should apply.

D

The UK and local UK visa warning list.

E

DSPs.

4.

All other visa-related material may be destroyed.
