TRANSFER OF UK RELATED RECORDS FROM HONG KONG

1.

Would you please refer to John Hague's minute of

13 November on the above subject.

2. We have now obtained the views of the various interested FCO departments on what to do with Hong Kong's nationality and immigration records and have drafted a reply to Mrs Tong's (Hong Kong Immigration Department) letter of 31 October which was copied to you. I now enclose a copy of our draft. I should be grateful if you could let me have any comments that you would like to make by close of play on 13 March.
