1. You have kindly agreed to chair a meeting of the Steering Committee. This has been scheduled for 1130am on Wednesday 6

January in the India Office Council Chamber. At this meeting OED will present the costings submitted by the Quantity

Surveyors for the approval of the Steering Committee prior to

submission to Ministers.

OED are still waiting for the final analysis of the costings. They will do their best to circulate a layman's

guide to these before the meeting but cannot be sure
