The layout splits C3 in two halves which will lead to operational inefficiencies and compromises the relationship with C2 and C8 as per the brief.

C5 is a bit open as it also doubles as Registry. However the B/R glass security is no longer required (not in any case included in the design)

Interconnection between C7 and C6 is missing.

C7 is duplicated.

Section C should be moved to level 6 - see para 2 (b) above.

Level 9

(a)

There should only be one entrance to Sections A and B (levels 9 and 10) and this should be via the main lift lobby: a further door barrier from the lift lobby into the 9th floor will also be required. Circulation between the 9 and 10 floors should be by internal stairs. The present layouts preclude the use of the stairs near to Q3 for this purpose: the two lifts in the Q3 vicinity will stop at the level below. The stairway adjacent to A13 will be an emergency exit only downwards. Further detailed and early discussion will be required to establish the correct circulation pattern for levels 9 and 10.
