prejudice of officals and courts in Britain against a full application of all the usual principles of
the usual principles of English justice in extradition cases is strong and deep-rooted, but I hope that you, at least, will prove yourself to be free of that prejudice by intervening to ensure that the Home Secretary takes a fair and properly considered decision based upon all the facts.
Finally, Prime Minister, on the basis of compassion you may consider it significant that in his Judgement of 30 June 1992, Lord Justice Woolf stated at the very outset (on p.1)
