116. At mid-day on the 30th of May 1990 I attended on the Governor Sir David Wilson when he executed the request. I then flew to Paris arriving on the 31st of May 1990 with the request. I went to the offices of Siméon & Associes to meet with the certified translator. The translations of the Governor's Request and Certificate were certified.
117. At approximately 11.00am I attended Mr. John McGregor Head of Chancery at the British Embassy in Paris. We discussed the Saniman matter, its history and the nature and purpose of this request. He agreed to speak with both the French Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Justice once they had received the request. I then attended upon Mr. John Lacey of the British Consulate. I drafted the Note Verbale and with Mr. Lacey went to the French Foreign Ministry at 4.00pm and delivered the request. Afterwards we confirmed with the Ministry of Justice and the Procurer Général de Paris that the request had been received by the French Foreign Ministry.
118. It was only shortly before the execution of the fresh request that we were advised that Saniman was now residing in Versailles and that if he was arrested in Versailles it would be the Cour d'Appel de Versailles that would hear the extradition and not the Cour d'Appel Paris. This was most concerning as to date we had dealt with the Advocat Général and the Procurer Général In Paris. It was therefore necessary to establish communication with the Advocat General and Procurer Général in Versailles.
119. On the 1st of June 1990 we spoke to the Procurer Général de Cour d'Appel de Versailles and the Ministry of Justice. In relation to the transmission of the request to Versailles.
120. On the 6th of June 1990 we were told, on a preliminary view, the Ministry
