Applications submitted under the Entrepreneurs Class by self-nominated candidates

Purpose

This paper reports on the applications received under the entrepreneurs class (EC) from self-nominated candidates and seeks members' advice on:-

(a) the processing of qualified applicants under the

EC;

(b)

the transfer of suitable

applicants to

occupational group 1 (OG1) of the general occupational class (GOC);

(c)

the rejection of applicants who do not qualify under either the EC or OG1; and

(d)

the shelving of applications from people who meet the selection guidelines but are in possession of "good quality" passports.
