Members noted the progress made in implementing the entrepreneurs class of the British Nationality Scheme: so far, 178 places out of the quota of 500 had been committed and efforts were being made to seek information on about 1,000 potential candidates facilitate further processing of their cases. They further noted the list of 101 GOC unsuccessful applicants tabled at the meeting, who had been identified by the Director of Immigration as having the potential to be qualified under the entrepreneurs class.

Members requested that a profile of the new nominees be prepared and submitted to this Committee for information in due course.
