13. OFFICE MACHINERY AND STATIONERY
a)
The Personal Assistants will bring with them Toshiba computer/word processors with separate printer and Canon type star portable electronic typewriters for use in Manila, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
b) The Private Offices will also be equipped with electric typewriters, common user stationery and photocopying machines. Any special headed stationery will be brought out by the Personal Assistants.
c) An electric typewriter and some stationery will be provided in the Press suites.
14. GIFTS (Manila and Kuala Lumpur)
Based on advice given by the post and geographical department and as agreed by the Secretary of State, the purchase of gifts has been arranged by Ministerial Visits Section.
15. CLIMATE AND CLOTHING

Manila : Climate is hot and humid, daytime temperatures of up to 35°C and strong possibility of heavy rain.

b) Hong Kong Temperature 31°C max/26°C minimum, humidity average 81%. Possibility of heavy rain and gale force winds. Lightweight clothing for day and evening.
c) Kuala Lumpur : Temperature 30°C during the middle of the day, falling to 27/28°C at night. Humidity is high with heavy rainfall for 2 hours in the afternoon most days at this time of year.
Lightweight lounge suits for day and evening wear for men. Darker colours, especially in the evening, are preferred. For relatively informal occasions out of doors shirts and ties without jackets are acceptable. For ladies high hemlines and revealing necklines should be avoided, as well as yellow, which is a royal colour. Shoulders should preferably be covered.
