Mr Robert Parry, dow Transport House, 37 Islington, Liverpool 3.
27th March 1992.
I enclose herewith a copy of the letter, in both English and Chinese, from the International Commission Of Inquiry Of The Democratic And Labour Movement Against Repression In China. I received a letter from the Prime Minister following his visit to China last Autumn, when he raised the question of human rights. I did advise Mr Major that I would be going out this year and he asked me to let him know what success we had. I am the sole British member of the delegation, which includes German M.P.'s, French M.P.'s, Belgian senators and a lawyer from the United States of America.
I would be most grateful if you could reply, at your earliest, that all delegates would receive permission to enter Hong Kong on this worthwhilẹ commission for human rights and freedom.
Yours faithfully,
Mr R. Parry.
