Model Visa Abolition Agreement

AN AGREEMENT

BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF HONG KONG AND THE GOVERNMENT OF X CONCERNING

THE ABOLITION OF THE REQUIREMENT FOR VISAS

The Government of Hong Kong having been duly authorised to conclude this Agreement by the Sovereign Government which is responsible for its foreign affairs and the Government of X,

Desiring to abolish the requirement for visas to visit Hong Kong and x respectively;

Have agreed as follows

ARTICLE 1

DEFINITIONS

(1) For the purposes of this Agreement in respect of Hong Kong a "requisite travel document" means a valid travel document, described in Schedule 1, that contains a statement endorsed by a competent Hong Kong authority that the bearer has the right of abode in Hong Kong.

(2) Schedule 1 may be amended from time to time with the agreement of both Governments.
