Our records show that only 11 countries have deposited instruments of ratification, etc. We do not know when it will enter into force. Our records do not show that the United Kingdom has ratified. There is minuting on the subject on ESED's 1990 file (Ms Rodemark's minute of 6 November 1990 to Dr Young, Legal Advisers). It might be worthwhile if you have a word with the ESED Desk Officer about this one as they may have more up to date information of when the UK is likely to ratify.
