I attach the Depository Notification of the United Nations which records the reservations made by China in respect of the 1951 Geneva Convention and the 1967 Protocol on Refugees. I hope this is useful.

2.

I have passed the four draft discussion papers referred to in HK telno 2516 to Legal Advisers for comment: but I think it would be helpful for them to have the various annexes to the papers, i.e. the texts of the treaties under question, the UK reservations, etc. Could you send these by fax if possible, or by bag if not? Sorry for the inconvenience, but it will probably save time in the long

run.
