Article 9 (1) stipulates that reports are required every two years after the submission of an initial report. In practice, the Hong Kong Government has prepared the drafts of such reports insofar as they concern Hong Kong in consultation with the UK Government. These draft reports sent to the United Kingdom Government for submission to the Committee. The Chinese side may find it helpful, in connection with reports on the Hong Kong SAR that they will be submitting to the Committee after 1997, to have copies of past reports which are at Annex D.
