Very many thanks for the warmly welcome that FCO and BC have given to me. I am settling in well and enjoying my stay in Oxford University very much.
It took my two weeks for having drawn my reacarch project. Basing on the principle that my research would be of value to promoting cultural co-operation between China and Britain, and beneficial for China's political and Cultural policy making, It's my pleasure to make an application for the visiting study and research to liong Kong in Trinity Term(from March vacation).
Hong Kong will be returned to China in 1997 During his recent visit to GuangDong province, Chinese Leader Mr.Deng Xiaopin promised grandly that Hong Kong would maintain its capitalist system for 100 years. That Deans Hong Kong'$ stability is more and more important for Chinese government and leaders. But there are indeed some questions that have not been settled hy Chinese and British Government.
