The CPG's
campaign is not
confined
to creating
mistrust for the "British".
Its other leg is to convince
the community:

(a) to recognise
common Chinese identity; and,
hence,
(b)
to accept the CPG as the sole, legitimate
guardian of Chinese wellbeing.
The main tactics adopted include:
(a)
National pride.
Loyalty to the motherland
should come before antipathy to the CCP and
personal or family sufferings under its rule.
(The impact of this appeal in Hong Kong is
limited but should not be dismissed

Historical experience.
(b)
