Yugoslavia

Thank you for your very prompt reply to my letter of yesterday concerning official names of CIS, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia. The information therein is very use- ful.

By coincidence, I have been asked today by the Director of Intellectual Property about the status of Slovenia and Croatia i.e. whether UK has officially recognised them and, if so, are they regarded as successor states to treaties that currently mention Yugoslavia? (Hong Kong is now party to a number of such treaties). I note from your letter that Yugoslavia now comprises four entities. Does the UK recognise them? Grateful for your advice.
