1.
Mr Venables rang me on 6 April.

He apologised for the
slow progress' made on the S K Tang bequest. The matter is
now in the hands of Steven Slack, a lawyer at the Charity
Commission, Woodfield House, Tangier, Taunton PA1 4BL, telephone 0823 345000 Ext 5011, 1389.)
2.
Mr Venables said that the major issue on the S K Tang
bequest at the moment was whether the Attorney General in
the UK or in HK should be asked to consent to our
applications for a trust. He described the matter as quite complicated and I requested a minute setting down the
details.
3.
This was promised on Mr Slack's behalf.
Nime
Mr Venables requested a copy of a letter før S K Tang to the Goveñor which recorded that S K Tang wished to make a
bequest. I am seeking it out, although it will date back to
pre-1986.
4.
We await further news, hopefully to arrive in the near
future.
