MR GOODLAD'S MEETING WITH SIR ADRIAN SWIRE

I attach briefing for the above meeting. I am afraid we have little news for Sir Adrian on his main concern which will be the progress in separation of Air Service Agreements.

Since Lord Caithness last met Sir Adrian, Cathay Pacific have announced that the Chinese have bought the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank's 10% share in CPA. This should in the long term help in the negotiations with the Chinese over ASAS.
